Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator ensures maximum asset availability and uninterrupted utility operation to meet the site’s annual production targets. This role focuses on scheduling, optimizing, and coordinating maintenance and calibration activities across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize daily and weekly maintenance and calibration tasks, allocating human and equipment resources to eliminate waste.
• Act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, aligning job priorities and communicating progress.
• Identify concurrent activities (SIMOPs) early and propose solutions to avoid cost and schedule impacts.
• Forecast maintenance needs, review KPIs, and present performance against plans to the Site Engineering Leadership Team.
• Manage work orders, documentation, and MRO spare parts within an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
• Develop and maintain detailed job plans, ensuring safety, quality, permits, tools, materials, and resource loading are addressed.
• Gather and analyze equipment uptime/downtime metrics using key performance indicators.
• Support commissioning and qualification activities during project phases.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in large‑scale pharmaceutical, petrochemical, or semiconductor environments.
• Understanding of cleanroom maintenance philosophy is advantageous.
• Experience leading annual shutdown maintenance and familiarity with ramp‑up/ramp‑down strategies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination abilities with a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems – Maximo or similar CMMS.
• Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
• Ability to review technical plans and engineering drawings.
