Maintenance Technician

About the role

JLL is hiring an on-site Technician in Singapore to handle maintenance and engineering (M&E) tasks for buildings. The role covers upkeep of building systems, inventory and records, and hands-on troubleshooting and minor repairs. Travel to the Northeast and West is required.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain records of M&E inventories, spare parts and stock levels, and keep utility records and logs of maintenance activities and repairs
• Prepare technical reports on equipment conditions and system performance, update asset registers and technical drawings, and check stock and spare parts monthly
• Record spare parts usage and consumption, submit payment documentation for minor maintenance works, and carry out meter readings for energy consumption
• Handle inquiries and complaints about M&E systems, utilities and building defects, and report irregularities and safety violations
• Inspect services with term contractors (pest control, fire protection, lifts) and conduct routine inspections of building systems, common areas and facilities
• Troubleshoot M&E equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, water pumps, lighting and general facilities, and fix electrical breakdowns
• Perform minor repairs such as plumbing, electrical fault rectification, painting touch-ups, carpentry and general handyman work
• Check low-tension switchgear and distribution boards, operate and maintain air-conditioning, pumps, air compressors, sump and transfer pumps, and install or replace power points and light fittings
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, assist the Property Officer and Condominium Manager with approved maintenance projects, and keep tools and work areas safe
• Ensure work complies with OMS procedures and standards

Required profile

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in technical troubleshooting and handyman work
• NITEC or equivalent qualification in engineering, building services or electrical
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and solve them independently
• Strong commitment to safety standards and proper work practices
