Manager, AI & Trust Research

About the role

IMDA is looking for a Manager to lead its Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) efforts in AI and Trust Technologies, cross-domain research and research-to-business development. The role sits within a team that works with local and international research communities and organisations such as WEF, GPAI and NIST to build technology thought leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop research-to-business strategies in AI and Trust Technologies and cross-domain research aligned to national strategic interests
• Prepare RIE funding initiatives and theories of success for research programmes
• Build collaborations with Institutes of Higher Learning and Research Institutes
• Represent Singapore and/or IMDA in research and technology forums and standards-setting committees
• Translate research findings into viable business opportunities and drive international collaborations
• Support senior leadership in monitoring global shifts in AI and Trust Technologies and cross-domain research, and recommend timely policy actions
• Share views on AI and Trust Technologies in blogs, social media and papers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• At least 5-8 years of experience managing technology teams in research and/or engineering
• Familiarity with the RIE ecosystem
• Strategic thinker, collaborative and strong team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with local and overseas partners
