Manager, Customer Engineer

About the role

The Manager, Customer Engineer leads a district‑wide team of customer engineers, ensuring strong relationships with clients and delivering technical solutions for advanced semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships across the district, including regular visits.
• Manage, coach and direct all customer engineers, handling salary and career planning, performance appraisals and corrective actions.
• Serve as primary interface with Product Divisions for tech support, training, spares and reliability, and oversee escalation procedures.
• Lead account planning with District Sales Engineer, provide support plans for system sales, and forecast financial results for the district.
• Oversee system installations, including planning, reporting, pre‑facility and start‑up meetings, and manage RMA procedures and engineer effectiveness metrics.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and delivering performance objectives.
• Strong business acumen with ability to plan budgets, forecast financial results and drive cost efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for presenting technical information and gaining cooperation across functions.
• Ability to solve complex problems, exercise judgment within defined policies, and ensure compliance with corporate conduct standards.
