Manager / Deputy / Assistant Manager, EV Regulations (Data)

About the role

This is a Manager / Deputy / Assistant Manager position within the National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC) at LTA, a one-stop programme office coordinating EV efforts across the Whole-of-Government. The NEVC promotes EV adoption by regulating and deploying EV charging systems in Singapore. The role focuses on initiatives that collect, transmit and publish EV charging data (such as real-time availability and pricing of charge points) to make charging more accessible.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the development of a digital platform with a charger planning module that aggregates and processes EV charging data and supports charger deployment planning.
• Work with the technical partner's team of system developers and engineers to finish development of the platform, run user acceptance testing of prototypes and commission it for production.
• Oversee the transition of the platform into steady-state business operations, which may include procuring outsourced vendors to maintain it.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on other data transmission and publishing activities, including coordinating with EV charging operators and the technical partner on system integration and on measures to safeguard system and data security.

Required profile

• Knowledge preferably in data-related fields such as data engineering.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple initiatives at once.
• Strong writing and presentation skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and with companies and other government agencies.
• Experience managing or developing IT systems and knowledge of EV charging communication protocols are a plus but not necessary.
