Manager, Financial Accounting / Planning

About the role

NHG is looking for a Manager, Financial Accounting / Planning to lead the hospital's costing and financial planning work. The role acts as a finance business partner to clinical and operational stakeholders, supporting decisions with financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the National Costing Exercise (NCE) and other costing submissions in line with national guidelines and reporting requirements.
• Serve as a Finance Business Partner to clinical and operational stakeholders.
• Perform costing, pricing and financial analysis for healthcare services, programmes and initiatives.
• Support the evaluation of the financial viability of capital expenditure requests, business cases and strategic projects.
• Maintain the hospital's SAP Controlling (CO) master data and costing configurations.
• Work with IT consultants and vendors on the implementation, enhancement, testing and yearly maintenance of costing systems.
• Analyse cost drivers, utilisation trends and operational performance to find improvement opportunities.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting and other finance initiatives as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate across clinical, operational and technical teams.
• Experience with large datasets, financial models and system implementation projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Costing and pricing experience is advantageous.
• SAP experience is advantageous.
• Business partnering experience is advantageous.
