Manager, Global Product Support Engineer – Thin Film/Wet Clean

About the role

The Manager, Global Product Support Engineer leads a team that provides world‑class technical support for new and existing semiconductor equipment deployed at customer sites worldwide. Acting as a bridge between customers, engineering, product development, quality, reliability and field service, the role ensures successful product introductions, rapid problem resolution and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to solve high‑value problems affecting technology milestones.
• Lead a small Global Product Support team delivering on‑site installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service and repair of complex equipment.
• Capture legacy corrective actions and lessons learned into new product design intent and contribute to the FMECA process.
• Partner with Global Technical Training to develop training plans and train‑the‑trainer programs for new products.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and develop best‑known methods for servicing new products.
• Collaborate with Quality & Reliability to address top field issues and drive resolution with engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment, product support, field service or engineering.
• Prior people‑leadership or technical team‑management experience.
• Proven problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience supporting new product introduction and customer‑facing technical programs.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of vacuum chambers used in PVD and CVD processes.
• Hands‑on expertise with wet‑clean equipment and electro‑mechanical semiconductor assemblies.
• Familiarity with Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
