Manager, Group Project Cost Control

About the role

The Group Project Cost Control Manager will lead the application of the company’s cost control methodology across multiple projects and programmes. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will ensure accurate cost estimation, forecasting, recording and change‑control while supporting project teams and system users.

Key responsibilities

• Apply group cost control standards at project and programme level.
• Monitor cost performance, conduct variance analysis and produce monthly cost reports and dashboards.
• Validate assumptions, quantify risks and flag financial issues for escalation.
• Maintain accurate financial data in the cost management system and resolve data quality issues.
• Support project managers in developing estimates, business case financials and annual budgets.
• Track expenditures, manage baselines and ensure spend stays within approved thresholds.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and enforce governance controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Subcontracting and IT teams to improve cost performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in system development, support and cost management.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
