Manager, IT Infrastructure and Business Applications

About the role

A global travel retailer is looking for a Manager, Infrastructure and Technical Operations through a partner agency. The role leads the IT Infrastructure Team in implementing changes to the technical infrastructure of the regional headquarters and overseeing the local retail entities across Asia Pacific, while keeping the network, hardware and computer systems secure and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure alignment with Global IT governance guidelines and manage network and hardware projects at headquarters and retail sites, including discussions on new business opportunities.
• Implement project plans covering technical requirements, security and compliance, budget and resource allocation.
• Coordinate IT infrastructure, connectivity, network administration and workplace systems, including user account creation and deletion, and support for printers, mobile devices, phones, video and door systems.
• Liaise with internal and external service providers on project roll-outs, procurement and maintenance of hardware and network products.
• Respond to tickets, escalate complex issues to the Global Team, analyse trends and prevent recurring problems.
• Train stakeholders and team members, including creating user manuals, processes and guidelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of hands-on technical experience managing Microsoft platforms, Active Directory, PCs, laptops and handhelds, TCP/IP (DNS/DHCP), Apple iOS, network and cabling work.
• Proven ability to manage team members on site and remotely across APAC outlets.
• Familiarity with corporate office and retail IT setups, and working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system.
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills with contractors, vendors and stakeholders.
