Manager - Middle Office Oversight

About the role

Eastspring, a global asset manager with Asia at its core, is hiring a Manager for its Middle Office Oversight team. The team provides oversight of end-to-end middle office activities across Eastspring Investments and works closely with outsourced service providers to ensure post-trade operational integrity, regulatory compliance and timely delivery. The role reports to the Head of Middle Office Oversight and focuses on governance, issue management and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversight of the Middle Office service provider across all asset classes, acting as a key escalation point for operational issues.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs and delivery commitments, and proactively challenge and resolve issues affecting service quality, accuracy or timeliness.
• Conduct regular service reviews and prepare performance scorecards for senior management.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, custodians, brokers and service providers to resolve trade-related issues.
• Stay up to date on market, regulatory and industry developments and drive process and control enhancements.
• Maintain and update team processes, procedures, operating manuals and checklists, and track root causes of operational issues.
• Escalate material issues to senior management and regulators where required.
• Support junior team members and contribute to talent management and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the asset management industry, preferably in a middle office, operations or oversight role.
• Strong understanding of asset management operations and control frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong risk and control mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure, think methodically and act as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Rates, FX Forwards and Money Market instruments.
• Experience with Aladdin or similar front-to-back investment platforms is preferred.
