Manager, Operations Management

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manager, Operations Management to lead and develop its production workforce in Singapore. The role oversees manufacturing execution, ensures safety and quality, and drives continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, train and develop a team of production employees, assigning work and setting priorities.
• Lead operational meetings, establish process consistency, and align tactical and strategic plans.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material requirements.
• Develop and track performance metrics to improve cycle time and overall productivity.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies and drive Lean, safety and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Provides technical expertise and managerial leadership across manufacturing operations.
• Communicates cross‑functional issues effectively and resolves customer‑impacting operational problems.
• Manages performance, career development, hiring, rewards and discipline processes.
• Analyzes capacity, implements process improvements and initiates corrective actions.
