Manager, Operations Management (Second or Third Shift)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a seasoned Operations Management leader to oversee second or third shift production activities in Singapore. The role ensures efficient manufacturing of capital equipment, drives performance metrics, and upholds safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across assembly, inspection, test, and final test functions for capital equipment and subsystems.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and material requirements.
• Lead operational meetings, milestone reviews, and performance‑metric tracking.
• Address operations issues impacting customer satisfaction and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety training and policies.
• Develop staff through training, performance management, and career development.
• Support capacity optimization, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Formal supervisory experience with the ability to set priorities and coach teams to meet daily deadlines.
• Strong problem‑solving judgment for day‑to‑day technical and operational challenges.
• Understanding of Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical expectations.
• Willingness to work the second or third shift and handle physical demands of the manufacturing environment.
