Manager, Planning Digital Twin

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Planning Digital Twin Manager (SMAI Planning & Ops Planning Digital Twin) to lead and develop a high-performing team that delivers business value through advanced analytics and data-driven solutions. The role focuses on strategic planning, execution and continuous improvement of data science initiatives supporting operational excellence and innovation, particularly in the semiconductor industry.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, develop and deploy smart manufacturing applications to optimise capex efficiency and transform planning processes.
• Influence and develop data science AI and ML applications to identify business needs, quantify impact and prescribe actions that maximise output efficiency and optimise cycle time.
• Integrate solutions across production planning, IE planning and supply chain departments.
• Oversee the end-to-end build, development and deployment of smart manufacturing applications, providing technical consulting and hands-on assistance, and help troubleshoot escalated issues.
• Drive project execution through cross-functional collaboration, manage stakeholders and ensure strong engagement.
• Promote adoption and scaling of solutions across the network, with standardisation and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate third-party software, hardware and vendors where appropriate.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, or in planning, supply chain, operations research or an equivalent sector.
• Prior knowledge of data science is preferred but not required.
