Manager / Senior Manager, eGazette Operations and Resilience

About the role

The Policy, Regulation & Competition Development (PRCD) Group oversees the operations, resilience and continued development of the eGazette Website, which publishes the Government Gazette and is designated as an Essential Service. The role provides overall oversight of the site's business processes, publication workflows, technical operations and systems, working closely with Whole-of-Government stakeholders and the Government Printer to keep the service secure, reliable and continuously available.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day technical and operational management of the eGazette website, coordinate with service providers such as OGP and the Government Printer, and streamline publication workflows.
• Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures and governance arrangements, and monitor service performance and levels.
• Lead system upgrades and enhancements, use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and WOGAA to inform service improvements, and work with technical partners to strengthen system resilience.
• Identify cyber and operational risks, develop business continuity and contingency plans, run regular exercises, lead incident response and recovery, and conduct post-incident reviews.
• Act as key point of contact for MDDI, OGP, AGC, the Government Printer and other stakeholders, respond to public feedback, and recommend improvements to management.

Required profile

• Background in Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong experience managing operationally critical digital services, preferably in a government environment.
• Good understanding of system operations, cybersecurity, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills, and good planning, organisational and communication skills.
