Manager Transportation Operations APAC

About the role

The Manager, Transportation Operations APAC leads end-to-end transportation across Asia Pacific, ensuring reliable, compliant, cost-effective and resilient movement of products across regional and inter-regional networks. The role partners with Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Trade Compliance, Customer Service, external logistics providers and global transportation teams, and covers service continuity, risk management, freight governance, network optimization, new lane activation and continuous improvement across Johnson & Johnson's MedTech businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead transportation execution across APAC networks, drive on-time delivery and coordinate shipment prioritization and recovery during disruptions
• Manage carrier and 3PL/4PL performance, set corrective action plans and improve service, lead time, quality and cost KPIs
• Lead response to disruptions such as geopolitical events, capacity constraints, weather and labour actions, and develop contingency plans
• Oversee freight spend, cost management and productivity initiatives, partnering with Finance and Procurement on savings validation
• Optimize networks, standardize processes and SOPs, and lead transformation programs including Control Tower adoption
• Prepare transportation for new products and new lanes, and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, customs and trade requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in transportation, logistics or supply chain operations
• Proven experience managing international transportation across Asia Pacific in a global, matrixed environment
• Experience managing carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, 4PLs and customs partners
• Preferred: experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or healthcare, and knowledge of customs, Incoterms and temperature-controlled logistics
