Manager Transportation Operations APAC

About the role

The Manager, Transportation Operations APAC leads end-to-end transportation across Asia Pacific, ensuring reliable, compliant, cost-effective and resilient movement of products across regional and inter-regional networks. The role partners with Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Trade Compliance, Customer Service, external logistics providers and global transportation teams, combining day-to-day leadership with accountability for service continuity, risk management, freight governance, network optimization and new lane activation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead transportation execution across APAC networks, drive on-time delivery and coordinate shipment prioritization and recovery during disruptions
• Manage carrier and 3PL/4PL performance, set corrective action plans and improve service, lead time, quality and cost KPIs
• Lead response to disruptions such as geopolitical events, capacity constraints, weather and labour actions, and develop contingency plans
• Oversee freight spend, cost management and productivity initiatives, partnering with Finance and Procurement on savings validation
• Optimize networks, standardize processes and SOPs, and lead transformation programs including Control Tower adoption
• Prepare transportation for new products and new lanes, and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, customs and trade requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in transportation, logistics or supply chain operations
• Proven experience managing international transportation across Asia Pacific in a global, matrixed environment
• Experience managing carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, 4PLs and customs partners
• Preferred: experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries

• Air, ocean, road, parcel and multimodal transportation networks
• Customs regulations, Incoterms and temperature-controlled logistics
• Lean Six Sigma, APICS, PMP or equivalent certification preferred
• Preferred familiarity with TMS, ERP, Control Tower solutions and transportation analytics
