Manufacturing Engineer (Entry-level)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an entry‑level Manufacturing Engineer to join its Singapore team. You will develop and maintain fabrication methods for parts, components and assemblies while collaborating with other engineering functions to launch product improvements and new products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences and processes for part and assembly fabrication.
• Coordinate with other engineering groups to release product improvements and new products.
• Apply DFx principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results and investigate root‑cause issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or related industry experience (preferred).
• General knowledge of the semiconductor industry acquired through education or experience.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing principles.
• Automation and continuous‑improvement techniques.
• Test procedure development and evaluation.
