Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating semiconductor parts and assemblies. You will collaborate with other engineering functions to release product improvements and new products while applying lean principles and continuous improvement techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing test processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Support production by troubleshooting test equipment, software, and product‑related issues.
• Monitor key manufacturing metrics such as yield, throughput, cycle time, and equipment utilization.
• Define, procure, and qualify test fixtures, tooling, and equipment required for manufacturing operations.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Assist in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for assembly or system testing issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a related manufacturing environment.
