About the role

Applied Materials' Manufacturing Business Unit is seeking interns to support project‑based initiatives that enhance manufacturing operations, automation, and data‑driven decision‑making. You will work alongside engineering and operations teams in a dynamic production environment, gaining hands‑on experience with smart factory and continuous‑improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations, automation, and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and productivity opportunities.
• Assist in developing dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
• Participate in smart‑factory, digitalisation, and automation projects.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, problem‑solving, and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Research, prepare presentations, and document project outcomes.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Engineering degree (Materials, Computer, Electronics/Electrical, Mechanical) at a Singapore university.
• Internship must be a mandatory or credit‑bearing component of your academic curriculum.
• Provide a valid internship support letter from your university.
• Available for a full‑time internship of at least 20 weeks between January and June 2027.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.
