Manufacturing Internship Program

About the role

Applied Materials' Manufacturing Business Unit drives manufacturing excellence across its operations, focusing on quality equipment through operational excellence, smart manufacturing, automation, digital transformation and continuous improvement. As a Manufacturing Intern, you will join project-based initiatives supporting manufacturing operations, productivity improvement, factory automation, process optimization, industrial engineering, logistics and data-driven decision-making, working alongside manufacturing, engineering and operations teams in a dynamic production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations, automation and process improvement initiatives
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks and productivity opportunities
• Assist in developing dashboards, reports and performance metrics
• Contribute to smart factory, digitalization and automation projects
• Take part in root cause analysis, problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet project objectives
• Conduct research, prepare presentations and document project outcomes

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Engineering degree (e.g. Materials, Computer, Electronics/Electrical, Mechanical) at a local university in Singapore
• The internship must be a mandatory or credit-bearing part of your academic curriculum
• Able to provide a valid internship support letter from your university for onboarding
• Available for a full-time internship of at least 20 weeks between January and June 2027
