Manufacturing Operations Controller

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Manufacturing Operations Controller in Singapore. The role supports finance and non-finance executives with detailed analysis and commentary, and acts as a business partner to management on strategic planning, business sizing and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Complete detailed analysis and commentary for finance and non-finance executives.
• Develop complex models supporting strategic plans, business sizing and performance management.
• Carry out the analysis needed to complete month-end close, flash or commit with minimal oversight on recurring tasks.
• Present analytical findings to stakeholders and, at times, act as a direct business partner to non-finance management.
• Take part in or lead system integration or process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Conceptual and practical expertise in their own discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how their area fits with others, awareness of the competition and market differentiators.
• Able to solve complex problems, take a new perspective on existing solutions and exercise judgment across multiple sources of information.
• Able to impact customer, operational, project or service activities within their team and related teams, and to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.
