Manufacturing Operator – Batching

About the role

The Manufacturing Operator – Batching is responsible for executing the production plan, operating assigned processing and packaging equipment, and supporting product quality, process efficiency and safety standards. This 12‑month contract role focuses on the handling of finished concentrates and salts in a food‑grade environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate processing and packaging equipment according to SOPs and manuals.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation of equipment following Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Inspect raw materials to ensure they meet specifications for salts and dry‑part concentrates.
• Prepare, move, and batch raw materials, including operation of forklift or pallet stacker.
• Execute product and package change‑overs.
• Use SAP for process orders, goods receipt and inventory transactions.
• Follow safe operation of dust collection systems and overall safety procedures.
• Carry out basic equipment care, troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Apply 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement practices.
• Maintain visual management boards and operational records.
• Adhere to health, safety and GMP requirements on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of technical experience in the food and beverage industry (preferred).
• NITEC certification or equivalent (preferred).
• Forklift licence and ability to operate fork trucks or pallet stackers.
• Basic working knowledge of production operations and equipment.
• Commitment to safety, GMP and quality standards.

Required skills

• Operation of processing and packaging equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting and equipment care.
• SAP application usage.
• Microsoft Office skills – Email, Word, Excel.
• Knowledge of 5S concepts.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety hygiene.
