Manufacturing Operator – GeneChip Production

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to work in a cleanroom environment on the production of GeneChip® probe arrays. You will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment while ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR Part 820 requirements for all manufacturing activities.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks within defined parameters and operate production equipment.
• Maintain cleanroom housekeeping standards and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals according to SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Report non‑compliance, spills, leaks, or tool downtime to Manufacturing Engineers and Technical Specialists immediately.
• Provide feedback on unsafe acts, poor work habits, and product defects to team leaders.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education (NTC) in an engineering‑related field.
• 1–3 years of hands‑on production or processing experience.

Required skills

• Cleanroom operating procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820 compliance.
• Chemical handling and safety protocols.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in a manufacturing setting.
