Manufacturing Technician – Cleanroom (7am‑4:30pm)

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Manufacturing Technician working in a cleanroom environment. You will build, test, and repair multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment that powers today’s semiconductor and advanced‑display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies and sub‑assemblies using work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform audits to verify part availability and inspect for defects.
• Utilise test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies.
• Document test results, complete repair reports and install software updates.
• Maintain a safe, clean and compliant work environment, adhering to all health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience working in a cleanroom or similar high‑precision manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Willingness to follow written and verbal instructions and report any safety hazards promptly.
