Manufacturing Technician – Cleanroom Equipment Assembly

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, testing and repairing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. The role involves assembling electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic components and ensuring they meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot faults, correct errors and document results.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify functionality of assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Enter progress, labor and expense data into computer systems and, when required, install or update software on equipment.
• Conduct parts audits, inspect for defects and ensure all necessary components are available for build or repair.

Required profile

• Analytical mindset with ability to apply scientific methods to troubleshooting and process improvement.
• Understanding of how the manufacturing team integrates with other engineering functions.
• No supervisory responsibilities; works independently within established procedures.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly and repair.
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Operation of vacuum and pneumatic testing equipment.
• Use of electronic measurement instruments and leak detectors.
• Basic computer programming or software installation for equipment.
