Manufacturing Technician (Cleanroom Equipment)

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician works hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment that powers modern semiconductor chips and advanced displays.

Key responsibilities

• Use work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists and instructions to build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies and components.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive parts, conduct audits for availability and inspect for defects, and suggest process improvements.
• Test assemblies with fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps, and document results.
• Complete required job documentation, including data entry on progress, labor and expenses, and perform software installs or programming when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of experience in semiconductor or display manufacturing, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly.
• Use of test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Basic computer programming or software installation (when required).
