Manufacturing Technician (Etch)

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will work hands‑on in a clean‑room environment building and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. The role involves assembling, repairing and testing electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic sub‑assemblies that are critical to semiconductor and display production.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to build, repair or test equipment.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive and audit parts, inspect for defects and suggest process improvements.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement tools, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assemblies.
• Document work progress, labor details and, when required, execute computer programming, software installs or repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma (minimum).
• 1–2 years of experience in semiconductor or display manufacturing, or comparable industry/military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly.
• Troubleshooting of electrical, vacuum and pneumatic systems.
• Use of electronic measurement equipment and leak detection tools.
• Operation of vacuum pumps and related hardware.
• Computer programming and software installation for equipment.
