Manufacturing Technician

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will work hands‑on in a clean‑room environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. The role involves assembling electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic components and ensuring they meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams to build, repair and test electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform troubleshooting, repairs and audits of parts to ensure availability and defect‑free components.
• Operate test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies.
• Enter progress, expense and labour data into computer systems and may perform basic computer programming or software installation.

Required profile

• NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in an engineering or technical field; candidates with or without experience are welcome.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks, stand for long periods and operate in a clean‑room with appropriate PPE.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently while following safety standards.
