Manufacturing Technician

About the role

You will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, testing and repairing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. The role involves assembling electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic components and ensuring they meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair and test equipment.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot faults and correct errors.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assemblies.
• Document progress, labor details and test results in the computer system.
• Receive parts, audit inventories and inspect components for defects before use.
• Follow all safety standards, attend health‑and‑safety training and report hazards promptly.

Required profile

• Analytical mindset with ability to apply scientific methods to routine tasks.
• Understanding of how the manufacturing team integrates with other functions.
• Effective communication skills for exchanging technical information.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Use of electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Basic computer programming and software installation for equipment.
• Inspection of parts for defects and inventory auditing.
