Manufacturing Technician – Shift 4pm to 1:30am

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. The role involves assembling electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic components and ensuring they meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams to build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot faults, and conduct repairs while maintaining safety standards.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assembly performance.
• Enter progress and labor data into computer systems and document completed work.
• Audit incoming parts for availability and defects, and improve processes through continuous feedback.

Required profile

• Physically demanding role requiring standing for long periods, walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and lifting heavy components.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and to follow strict safety and security procedures.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly and repair.
• Interpretation of schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Operation of test fixtures, electronic measurement tools, leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Computer programming, software installation and basic troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
