Marine Field Technician (Entry Level)

About the role

Join a world‑leading marine technology integrator as a Marine Field Technician. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to advanced vessel equipment, on‑board service activities, and technical support alongside seasoned engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of state‑of‑the‑art marine electronic, communication and automation systems.
• Support troubleshooting and servicing of critical navigation, safety and communication equipment on diverse vessels.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment testing, configuration and functional checks.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals and technical blueprints.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, vessel crews, ship management companies and end‑clients to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Prepare accurate technical documentation, inspection checklists and provide basic remote technical support.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate, ITE or diploma holder in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience (or relevant academic projects/internships) in marine service, automation, electronics, electrical systems or instrumentation.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals and technical blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of marine navigation, safety and communication equipment.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of electronic systems.
