Marine Systems Engineer

About the role

Vista Automation Pte Ltd is seeking a Marine Systems Engineer to join its on‑site team in Singapore. The engineer will maintain and optimise complex marine automation equipment aboard vessels, ensuring reliability, safety and compliance with maritime standards.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate marine systems such as BWTS, boilers, main engines, generator controls and steering gears.
• Conduct regular system inspections and identify technical issues.
• Implement retrofitting and upgrading solutions for marine equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with maritime safety and operational regulations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality service tailored to client needs.

Required profile

• Proficiency in electrical repair, troubleshooting and calibration.
• Experience with marine systems (BWTS, boilers, main engines, generator controls, steering gears).
• Hands‑on experience with control panels, PLCs, ACBs, PCBs and other automation systems.
• Strong ability to analyse technical problems and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Marine, Automation Engineering or a related field.
• Willingness to work onsite in maritime environments; knowledge of maritime safety regulations is a plus.
