Market Category Manager, Marketing Procurement (SEA)

About the role

This role sits in the APAC region, part of the EMEA&APAC Procurement team, and is essential to execute Global A&P strategies while balancing APAC market requirements. It acts as a key link between Procurement and business stakeholders in Southeast Asia, ensuring strong alignment between global/regional strategy and local execution. It translates global and regional strategies into actionable market implementation plans and partners with local marketing and commercial leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver procurement category excellence, including strategic sourcing, contract management, risk management, supplier performance management and financial metrics on productivity and cash.
• Deliver the marketing category strategy and embed the future procurement operation model.
• Develop the market implementation plan for global and regional category strategies and execute it.
• Build strong business partnerships by understanding stakeholder needs and turning them into actionable procurement strategies.
• Ensure full compliance with Procurement CARM controls and governance standards.
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies and turn them into continuous improvement opportunities.
• Work as a team player with a "One Procurement, One Diageo" mindset, contributing to financial and non-financial KPIs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or category management (preferably within marketing).
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and business partnering.
• Experience in a regional or global, matrixed organization is preferred.
