Material Handler - Spares Shipping

About the role

KLA, which makes inspection tools and metrology systems for electronics, is hiring a Material Handler for its spares shipping function in Singapore. The role sits within the Global Operations team, which covers manufacturing, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, installation and quality, and works with the global supply base and design engineering teams. You will help deliver high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording locations and reporting shortages.
• Manage inventory storage, move goods to the right location and ensure materials are shipped, scanned and accounted for.
• Verify received parts by performing a "hand-shake" via RF scanning.
• Prepare e-Quality and other packaging labels, pack outgoing shipments in cartons, pallets or crates, and check items against the pick list and bill of materials.
• Expediting urgent requests within the stated lead time and supporting planners and buyers so orders are fulfilled on time.
• Keep material handling equipment in good condition through regular maintenance, and load and unload transport items while recording inventory status and matching deliveries to work orders.
• Collaborate with internal departments to find missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products.
• Operate machinery such as forklifts and keep the workplace tidy and safe.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by a supervisor and support P1/P2 operations on weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• GCE O Level or N Level or equivalent.
• PC literate; preferably experience in shipping and warehousing.
• Team player who can multitask and organise work systematically, with a process improvement mindset.
• Data entry skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.
• Hardworking, self-driven, willing to learn and able to take initiative.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
• A forklift licence is an added advantage.
