Material Planner – East Asia

About the role

The Material Planner will drive material planning and execution to support project delivery, customer orders and service spare requirements across East Asia. This role manages the SIOP process, inventory optimisation and supplier coordination to meet commitments while maintaining healthy stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage material requirements to support project schedules, customer orders and service spare needs.
• Execute supply planning based on forecasts, project schedules and inventory targets, generating purchase signals through MRP.
• Monitor material shortages, develop recovery plans and coordinate with suppliers to minimise production impact.
• Maintain planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock, reorder points and minimum order quantities in SAP.
• Manage inventory levels, analyse excess, slow‑moving and obsolete stock and drive reduction while meeting service levels.
• Collaborate with SCM, manufacturing, sales, finance and project teams to communicate risks and support SIOP/S&OP processes.

Required profile

• Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in material planning or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of inbound and outbound logistics, including incoterms and drop‑shipment processes.

Required skills

• SAP MM module proficiency.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Incoterms.
