Materials Program Manager I

About the role

UCT is seeking a Materials Program Manager I to join its Singapore team. You will act as the central point for material flow, ensuring visibility of current and future material issues across multiple functions. The role supports the overall materials strategy for a fast‑growing semiconductor business.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with planners to monitor and communicate material availability and potential shortages.
• Partner with production managers to align material supply with critical production schedules.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP systems to minimise inventory exposure.
• Work with engineering to identify long‑lead, critical, and inspection‑required parts.
• Develop supplier and commodity road‑maps, perform material risk BOM analysis, and propose risk‑buy or consignment options.
• Lead internal tiger teams to address long‑term supplier issues and improve performance.
• Provide inputs for supplier selection, assess system need dates, and drive clear‑to‑build (CTB) actions for pre‑production phases.
• Track KPIs, generate reports, and present material status updates in regional meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in materials or supply‑chain management within a high‑tech or semiconductor environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess BOMs, lead‑times, and inventory risks.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, working with engineering, production, and supply‑chain teams.
• Detail‑oriented and able to drive mitigation plans under tight timelines.
