Materials Project Management Manager (M5)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Project Management Manager (M5) in Singapore to lead cross‑functional planning, inventory control and sourcing activities that support semiconductor and display manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage an integrated planning process covering make‑vs‑buy decisions, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory and cost elements.
• Analyze customer demand, sales forecasts and historical usage to create build‑to‑order and build‑to‑forecast plans.
• Coordinate with business teams to devise cost‑effective production strategies and manage production scheduling by monitoring inventories and progress.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in partnership with Finance and drive corrective actions for discrepancies.
• Design and execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier scorecards to meet cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, machining and assembly to ensure on‑time delivery and address schedule issues proactively.
• Represent the materials organization on corporate task‑force teams, manage departmental budget and resources, and contribute to cross‑functional operational decisions.
• Select, evaluate and manage staff to ensure efficient function operations.
