Materials Project Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Project Manager to lead the planning, sourcing and commercialization of materials required for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. The role is based in Singapore and works closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply‑chain teams to ensure timely delivery of critical components.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, and perform make‑versus‑buy analysis.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP, manage inventory exposure and execute the materials change‑control process.
• Lead supplier selection, price negotiation, risk assessment and performance monitoring for critical parts.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify long‑lead and critical components, generate cost and quality KPIs, and resolve supplier quality issues.
• Represent the “War Room” for material shortages, drive problem resolution for accounting and receiving issues, and support manufacturing builds.

Required profile

• Demonstrated functional knowledge of materials sourcing, supply‑chain processes and basic engineering concepts.
• Business expertise with awareness of best practices, market competition and integration across functions.
