Materials Project Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Project Manager to lead forecasting, sourcing and material strategy for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. You will work closely with engineering, planning and supplier teams to ensure the right materials are available at the right time while controlling cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and support outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimise inventory exposure.
• Lead supplier price and delivery negotiations, risk assessments and performance monitoring.
• Manage material change‑control, cost objectives and quality issue resolution.
• Generate and publish key process indicators and track landed‑cost targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in materials planning and sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of best practices and competitive market factors.
• Leadership ability to guide junior colleagues and lead small, low‑risk projects.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and capacity to influence cross‑functional teams.
