M&E Coordinator – Building Construction

About the role

The M&E Coordinator will support building construction projects by managing mechanical and electrical works from design through handover. This junior‑level position works closely with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate M&E works with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Review M&E drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings and technical submissions.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor installation progress and identify clashes, design discrepancies or technical issues.
• Follow up on RFIs, material submissions, method statements, inspections and project documentation.
• Monitor testing and commissioning, authority inspections and handover requirements.
• Ensure M&E works comply with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements and project schedules.
• Support BCA Green Mark, sustainability and energy‑efficiency requirements through proper implementation and documentation.
• Assist the Project Manager in resolving technical, construction and coordination issues.
• Support planning and coordination of M&E works from construction through testing, commissioning and handover.
• Perform other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant M&E experience in Singapore’s construction industry.
• Experience in new‑build projects such as BTO or Design & Build is advantageous.
• Knowledge of BCA Green Mark requirements, sustainability initiatives and green building practices.
• Strong understanding of M&E drawings, specifications, coordination drawings and construction requirements.
