Mechanical & Electrical Engineer – Fresh Graduate (Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore‑based M&E engineering team. This is a fresh‑graduate position offering hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle of major railway infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Take over awarded projects from the tender/sales team and drive end‑to‑end execution.
• Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, submission timelines and material lead times.
• Prepare and manage document and material submissions to obtain timely customer approvals.
• Review and coordinate engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Plan procurement by raising purchase requisitions and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate on‑site installation, testing and commissioning activities with internal teams.
• Track project progress, maintain schedules and produce regular progress reports.
• Manage client communications, meetings and expectation management.
• Monitor project costs to ensure delivery within approved budget.
• Handle change management (RFIs, variation orders) and maintain proper documentation.
• Prepare and follow up on progress claims and billing milestones.
• Support testing activities such as Factory Acceptance Tests, site inspections and handover processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Open to fresh graduates; structured guidance and on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Minimum of 1 year project‑management experience in a related field is a plus.
• Strong organisational and follow‑up abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interface professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
