Mechanical Engineer

About the role

HDR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Singapore Building Engineering Services team. The role focuses on delivering mechanical design solutions for projects across various markets, primarily within the Mission Critical sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical design deliverables including calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Develop concepts through detailed design, support tender and contract processes, and review contractor submissions.
• Coordinate with contractors, project managers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure compliant and high‑quality designs.
• Monitor design progress, manage variations, and maintain in‑house design reviews.
• Lead design teams when required, supervise engineers/technicians, and conduct technical reviews.
• Assist with authority submissions, health and safety compliance, and ISO quality documentation.
• Support the Group Leader in resource planning, training, and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with local codes, authority submission procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Commitment to continuous professional development for self and team members.

Required skills
