Mechanical Engineer – Package Equipment Design

About the role

The company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in package equipment to lead the design and development of skid‑mounted and special process equipment for the oil and gas sector. The role involves creating detailed specifications, coordinating utilities, and ensuring compliance with industry codes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and develop technical specifications and data sheets for package equipment.
• Determine and confirm utility requirements (electrical, water, effluent) and foundation loading data.
• Assist in plot‑plan development and interface with other engineering disciplines.
• Identify and pre‑qualify potential suppliers and vendors.
• Perform technical evaluation of supplier submissions, including drawings, calculations and material lists.
• Establish inspection and testing requirements at manufacturing sites.
• Review and follow up on vendor documentation and testing plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of design experience with package, skid, and special equipment such as heaters, pumps, compressors, firefighting systems, and chemical treatment systems in the oil and gas industry.
• Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, DEP/PTS, NFPA).
• Preferably a Singapore citizen.
