About the role
The role involves monitoring and analysing media coverage and online discussions across a wide range of outlets and platforms. You will identify trending conversations and issues that could have operational, policy or reputational impacts on Singapore's defence landscape.
Key responsibilities
- Provide timely updates, analysis and recommendations to senior MINDEF/SAF leadership.
- Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports, dashboards and in‑depth analyses.
- Conduct risk assessments of significant issues of concern.
- Support decision‑making and strategic communications planning.
- Curate information into briefing products for top management.
Required profile
- Good understanding of the media landscape.
- Interest in political, defence and security developments in Singapore and the region.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to handle stress and think quickly in crisis situations.
- Sharp, analytical mind.
- Willingness to perform rotational duties; applicants with no experience may apply.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
