Medical Director (Vaccines) – Clinical Research Physician

About the role

We are looking for a senior Medical Director to lead vaccine clinical research within our global R&D team based in Singapore. Reporting to the Group R&D Head, you will shape medical strategies and drive programs from early development to regional launch.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement clinical development strategies aligned with regional regulatory and commercial goals.
• Lead vaccine and therapeutic clinical research programs through all phases to launch readiness.
• Provide scientific and medical leadership to cross‑functional teams including regulatory affairs, clinical operations, pharmacovigilance and medical affairs.
• Serve as primary liaison with global regulators such as US FDA, EMA and Singapore HSA for trial applications and approvals.
• Integrate emerging clinical insights, trends and competitive intelligence into the development roadmap.
• Establish and maintain collaborations with KOLs, research institutions and industry partners.
• Mentor junior clinical development staff to build organisational capability.

Required profile

• MD or PhD in Medicine, Pharmacology, Oncology, Immunology or related life‑science discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in clinical development within pharma or biotech, with a strong vaccine portfolio.
• Proven track record of developing regional clinical strategies from Phase I through registration.
• Established relationships with regulatory bodies such as FDA, EMA and HSA.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
• Strong analytical, strategic and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English and Chinese.
