Medical Planner / Healthcare Architect

About the role

SAA Architects, a member of the Surbana Jurong group, is looking for a Medical Planner / Healthcare Architect. The role covers medical planning concepts, departmental layouts, functional briefs and space programmes, working across the feasibility, planning, design and implementation stages of healthcare projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop medical planning concepts, departmental layouts, functional briefs and space programmes.
• Coordinate with clients, clinicians, architects, engineers and specialist consultants.
• Prepare room data sheets, workflow analyses, adjacency diagrams and planning reports.
• Support healthcare projects through feasibility, planning, design and implementation.
• Review healthcare guidelines, standards and operational requirements to inform design solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Medical Planning, Healthcare Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in healthcare planning and/or healthcare architecture.
• Experience in healthcare projects from briefing through design development.
• Strong knowledge of hospital operations, clinical workflows and healthcare facility planning principles.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
