Medical Technologist

About the role

Eurofins Scientific, an international life sciences company offering analytical testing services, is hiring a Medical Technologist for its Central Laboratory in Singapore. The role covers the performance of analytical analyses and the care of the equipment and materials used, with independent, accurate reporting of results.

Key responsibilities

• Independently perform, process and report analyses correctly and accurately, in line with authorised work rules
• Check the quality of results using first-line controls and critically review own methods and results
• Control instruments, carry out regular maintenance and report unfixed faults to the Laboratory Manager or delegate
• After processing QC samples with QC software, present results to the LIMS for first-line validation and validate results within competence
• Report timely needs for reagents and consumables to the Laboratory Supervisor or delegate
• Assist in sample management if needed, keep the workplace tidy, follow safety rules and PPE, and comply with all SOPs and in-house QC procedures
• Maintain the personal training file and complete any other tasks assigned by the Laboratory Manager or delegate

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences
• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or central laboratory
• Good knowledge of Laboratory Medicine
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
