MERN Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Paathz is building an AI‑native hospitality workforce platform that connects pre‑vetted professionals with hotels and restaurants across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. As a MERN Stack Software Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications that power this cross‑border talent corridor.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain full‑stack applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Build responsive, high‑performance user interfaces with React.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Create and optimise MongoDB schemas, queries, and indexes.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user‑centric solutions.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability through reviews and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire stack.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands‑on experience with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
• Experience building RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming and core data structures.
• Basic awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
