Microbiology Supervisor – Quality Control Lab

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Microbiology Supervisor to lead its Quality Control Microbiology laboratory. This position serves as the site subject‑matter expert, ensuring that microbiological testing supports product release and complies with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily microbiological testing activities and ensure compliance with cGxP, GxP, and SOPs.
• Oversee lab operations, monitor results, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to support product release while meeting safety, quality, and cost targets.
• Make operational decisions, lead problem‑solving efforts, and communicate effectively with associates.
• Ensure all staff follow Good Manufacturing Practices and complete required training.

Required profile

• Degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
• 5–8 years of microbiology experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is advantageous.
