Night Shift Operations Management Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Night Shift Operations Management Manager to lead production activities for capital equipment and systems. The role oversees assembly, inspection, testing and final test functions on the night shift, ensuring safety, quality and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across production functions such as assembly, inspection, test and final test.
• Set daily team priorities, develop work schedules and assign tasks.
• Develop and execute action plans, manage shift handoffs and conduct operations reviews.
• Organize pre‑shift, safety and other team meetings.
• Track and improve performance metrics, including cycle time and equipment efficiency.
• Coordinate with service and customer groups to secure resources needed for production schedules.
• Drive Lean, Safety and Quality initiatives and take corrective actions.
• Manage hiring, performance, rewards, discipline and employee development.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising day‑to‑day production work and coaching staff.
• Ability to resolve production‑schedule issues using sound judgment and precedent.
• Strong understanding of Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical expectations.
• Experience driving process improvements, safety incident elimination and equipment efficiency.
